Lenovo yoga 910 screen dimming

2019-08-11, 15:32 PM

My Lenovo yoga notebook screen gets dimmed quite frequently. Even though I change brightness it’s getting reset to zero after every 15-20 minutes or after every restart .

mine runs on i7 , windows 10 combination. I have installed latest drivers, checked battery settings. Could have possibly done everything that was suggested in the blogs but issue still persists.

any help would be highly appreciated

MOD: Added model to title

Welcome to the Community.

We'll probably need some more information. Type and model number of your Yoga. (eg Yoga 910 13IGlass 80FV) (Don't include the serial number. Just the model number) OS flavor and version (e.g Windows 10 x64 1903).

Thanks

Ok, I thnk that build is Windows 10 version 1803. You can get that information in Settings > System > About. You're running the April 2018 Update.

First thing I'd do is get your system up to date. Use Lenovo Vantage (from the Windows Store) to update any drivers that may be out of date as well as the BIOS. Update it all.

Once you do that and reboot, hit the Windows Key and type "windows update." Windows Update should come to the top. Click it, tell it to look for Updates and see if it doesn't tell you you're now eligible for 1903. If it does, (and you have a recent backup in case something goes wrong) update to 1903 and see if that doesn't fix the problem. I had the issue on a Yoga Book and it went away with 1903.
