Lenovo yoga c930 speakers problem and noisy fan

There is a reverberating sound when the sound of the speakers is incresed. Very frsustrating since the speakers were one of Lenovo's unique selling propositions for this laptop.

Another problem is the noisy fan which seems to work non-stop although no other program is working besides the browser and the bottom is quite hot. Nothing like the reviews I have watched.

Welcome to the Community Forums. 

Is this happening to all the sound, music or videos you are playing? Try to disable Audio enhancement in Sound Properties. Right click the Volume icon, select Playback devices, right click Speakers then Properties. Go to Enhancement tab and uncheck enhancement then observe.

I don't have Enhancements tab in Speaker properties, instead I have Spatial sound but no similar settings. The problem seems to appear only with Windows system sounds, like for instance adjusting the speaker volume notification. For now the only solution I see is to decrease the volume of system notifications.

About the fan, I installed the driver. Now the fan does seem to not work so often, but I will observe it more.

I believe my issue is similar to yours  I also do not have "Enhancements" but I do have Spatial.

I don't get reverberations but I do get an extremely high-pitched whining sound.  They need to fix this soon because it is a selling point for this laptop as you pointed out.

When I open the laptop the windows notification makes the speakers crackle. I am quite surprised at his because the laptop is premium and the speakers is a selling point. All other audio is fine but this a worrying development in a laptop which is 3 weeks old and cost €1750!!!

I just got mine, so I am not much help. But, I did find today that if you go into the Dolby Atmos app, you can actually turn OFF the Atmos by clicking on the button on the top left corner. The sound still works, but it doesn't have the premium/surround sound, just a regular computer sound. Maybe try shutting it off once and see if the crackling stops--maybe a way to eliminate issues.

To post an update on the fan noise. It is still annoyingly loud and it is on for apparently no reasons - only web browsing. Actually the laptop is quite warm so apparently the thermal management is not good at all.

Another problem that I experience is that the fingerprint scanner works so rarely that it is practically useless.
