Looking for an IdeaPad Yoga Accessory?

2012-11-23, 22:24 PM

Hello,

I was at Best Buy today, looking at the IdeaPad Yoga. It was a great convertible, but with one problem. The keyboard keys become mashed when in tablet mode. My fingers hit all of the keys when I am holding it as a tablet. Is there some sort of cover that I can buy in order for me to not smash the keys all the time?

Thanks,

Jordan

Still gives you access to the buttons when the sleeve is on. More comfortable to hold in tablet mode.

Is it under $40? Because for a laptop sleeve, $40 seems a little high

Actually, if there is a different, third party company that make something like this, that would be nice, too. Do you know any other company that makes something like this?

FYI I checked one of these out at Best Buy, and while they thought to cut holes for the power button, volume button, and screen totation button, then neglected to leave holes in the case for the power plug or USB ports. Meaning you can't charge it or use any non-bluetooth accessories when the case is on it - basically negating the point of using it as a tablet with the sleeve on. Also, it feels very cheeply made for a $40 sleeve.

I went in wanting to get one, and was thouroughly unimoressed after checking it out in person.

Yes, you can access the power plug and the usb 2.0. The usb 3.0 is the only port not accessible when using the sleeve.

Then you must have a different version of the sleeve. I tried it myself by opening up the sleeve and putting it on Best Buy's demo model. When you put it on so that the screen is still usable (it only covers the keyboard part) the power and USB 2 ports were covered as well on the model the one they were selling at the store.
