Re: MaxxAudio not installed by new audio drivers - Yoga 3 14

Hi,

If you want to get the old driver+software you should have it in the D: Drive in Driver\Audio. All the original drivers are there.

First, go in Device Manager and select your audio device, then uninstall (and tick "erase driver"). Then reboot, the Windows Generic Driver will be installed. Now you can install the Audio driver from Lenovo and MaxxAudio should come back (but for some reason can cannot activate/deactivate it from "Lenovo Settings" program, if someone know why...)

The problem with that solution is that you cannot get the newest driver if you want to keep MaxxAudio (which allows a better and louder sound).

But unfortunately the old driver is awful if you want to plug in an external microphone. The sound is strained strangled and very low quality. You cannot have a conversation with that. The new driver solves this problem but bring a new problem with MaxxAudio....

Any solution to solve the 2 problems at the same time ?
