Mouse Pointer Problem Lenovo Yoga 710 14IKB

2017-06-28, 13:02 PM

Hello, my name is Daniel Demétrio and this is my first post on this forum. Recently i bought a Lenovo Yoga 710 14IKB. I absolutely love the laptop, and meanwhile i had some problems with the fan noise that i did manage to resolve using de Notebook Fan Control that was recomended on the forum, i still have other problem.

My mouse pointer is constantly dissapering and reapearing, or just changes to a low resolution appearence. I've updated all the drivers, i tried all options of the mouse, i've seen a lot of tutorials or solutions, but still i got this problem.

I don't think that the problem is related to the mouse or touchpad driver, i think is something related with the graphics card or something related. But i've made all the updates, and i also tried to reverse the updates, but still i it made no difference, i still have the problem.

Anyone are having the same problem?

Thanks a lot,
Daniel Demétrio

Is your text, apps, and other items set to 100%? R-click desktop - display settings - set it to 100%.
Even though it doesn't ask you to reboot, reboot anyway and see how that works.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. I have set it to 150% because it was the configuration that came with the laptop and when i put it to 100% all the visual content becomes to small. Is there any way to have the configuration to 100% with the text and icons on the normal size? Thanks[oldimg]00.20.png[/oldimg]

Hello, yes. The problem was indeed with the scale of text, apps and other items. The Lenovo Yoga 710 14IKB was set to 150% but when you put to 100% the text becames to small, so i've set the custom scale to 149% and it works.

I hope this will help you.

Cheers!

I also have this exact problem on my new lenovo yoga that I purchased last month. I tried the resolution change, but it doesn't fix the problem. Are you still having trouble with this??

This bug is caused by Lenovo Utility! I have Lenovo Yoga 500 and I also had this problem. The solution was either reducing scaling to 125% or uninstalling Lenovo Utility (flight mode is not working then).

Hello, sorry for the late reply. After I've tried the solution to set the custom scale to 149% the problem was gone and it was fixed. Try not to change the resolution but the custom scale from 150% to 149%. With me it worked.

The simplest solution for this issue on some Yoga notebooks is to disable Lenovo Utlity in Task manager in Startup tab and reboot PC. Unfortunately Flight mode hotkey won't work after doing it.
