NO SOUND on Yoga

My Yoga began to intermittently lose audio playback about a month ago.  At first it would run for a while and then stop, but now there is no sound whatsoever.  I have uninstalled the Realtek drivers and then downloaded and re-installed them more times than I can count.  There is NO SOUND at all, and the first component listed on the Realtek list as it's finishing says that it was unable to install.  When I go to adjust audio playback, it's not even listed.  Dolby also says it's missing components.  This is very frustrating.

Re: NO SOUND on Yoga

Your solutions do not work. I download and re-install the Realtek drivers, but they do not appear on device manager. I'm beginning to not like this laptop very much.

Hi melinda,

Thank you for the reply.

Have you set the audio speakers to the default one? Here’s how you change it to the default settings.

Hope the above information helps and please let us know how you go about.

Re: NO SOUND on Yoga

I have downloaded the latest Realtek update but it failed to install all the components, so now my computer has no driver for audio output.  There are no drivers for recording, either.  A right click on the speaker icon reveals that NO audio devices are installed.  Is it the sound board?  I just bought this computer 5 months ago.

Re: NO SOUND on Yoga

Hello?  Is there any solution to the MANY sound issues people are having with the Yoga notebooks?

I have tried what you suggest but it does not work.  I had my computer repair guy troubleshoot it and he thinks it is the sound board.  I bought this computer in April and it should not be bad already.
