I noticed that there are new realtek drivers for windows 8.1, on the lenovo driver page.
Has anyone tried these out - do they solve the current bluetooth and wi-fi problems?

These aren't actually a newer version, although they were posted by Lenovo on 16 Oct 2013. Note that the version number is 1.03.0199, which is older than 06 June driver listed there with version 1.04.0213.
I discovered this by naively installing them, and noticed that these have a driver date of Jan 2013. The version installed by the Windows 8.1 upgrade is numbered differently (these version numbers aren't comparable), but its driver date is 7/10/2013. To update back to the newer Windows 8.1 network drivers, I just clicked the Update Driver button on this entry in Device Manager. It located and re-installed the newer Windows 8.1 drivers.

I don't know - I never really experienced any wifi problems, except that it would always take a good 30 seconds for the wifi to connect when coming out of sleep. Not really a problem, just not great.
That said, I have read that the Wifi software stack in Windows 8.1 has been improved, and the new driver seems improved. My wireless connects very quickly now coming out of sleep, less then 10 seconds.

My Yoga 13's audio was stuttering badly, both with Windows 8 and 8.1. The problem was eliminated after I went to the "Drivers and Software" Lenova support site, and downloaded and installed the Realtek Bluetooth/WLAN driver V 1.03.0199 dated 16 Oct. 2013 for 64-bit Windows. My Yoga is 64 bit. Remaining question is why Lenovo is shipping these machines without downloading and installing this driver first ...
