I'm in the process of removing a faulty LCD screen from an in-warranty Yoga 730-15IKB. The left side adhesive strip that holds the LCD to the LCD cover snapped off before any of the adhesive could be removed. I'm worried about the possibilty of damaging the LCD during removal. What should I do? Would it still be possible for the defective LCD to be covered by warranty if the part becomes damaged during further disassembly? Looking forward to responses, either about how to remove the LCD without damaging it, or from Lenovo about how to proceed should the LCD become damaged. Thanks!

The hardware manual does offer steps for disassembly of the cover against the panel but do take not of the limited warranty agreement stipulated on it.
"What this Warranty Does not Cover:
failure or damage resulting from misuse, abuse, accident, modification, unsuitable physical or operating environment, natural disasters, power surges, improper maintenance, or use not in accordance with product information materials
damage caused by a non-authorized service provider"
If you are in doubt of the next step, best to report the loose adhesive and panel to technical support and have the warranty repair under contract cover the service instead. If the LCD get cracked, repair engineers may decline coverage as mentioned above.
I hope this helps answer your query.
