The micro-HDMI port on my Yoga 2 Pro needs to be replaced. I'm hesitant to send it out for repairs, as there are no authorized repair centers in the country according to Lenovo's website, so it would likely take some time to ship to the US, and I need access to the software for business purposes. So I have two questions that hopefully someone whose been in a similar situation could answer...
1. Am I able to order specific components for the Yoga 2 Pro, without sending it in for repair? It looks as if the HDMI port resides on a circuit board that could be swapped out?
2. If I need to send it in, is there a process for creating an image of the SSD (or more specifically the partition that has Windows 8.1 on it) so I'm able to run it on another machine?

Just a had a look at the Parts Lookup section of the support website. It looks like the part that I need is part #90004971 - "VIUU3 SSD Board". But it is apparently not customer-serviceable. So that leaves me with option 2.
