Power Problem with Yoga 11S

2016-10-17, 13:07 PM

My Yoga 11S was working fine and all of a sudden it will not run on battery power. When I first start the PC the Lenovo screen appears and then goes dark. If I plug in the electric cord it works. The battery icon indicates the battery is at 100%.

HELP!!!

Hi thegman7  ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Call in technical support for probable in-warranty repair as the battery is placed internal .

Battery pack are consumable products that may depletes thru usage .

Initially try uninstalling Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery . Try uninstalling power management software (Energy Manager) to test charging . Creating a battery report can provide reference on current capacity.

Power checkout guide for battery check may involve removing and reseating the battery pack as shown from the hardware manual (page 21 , 40) .

Checking operational charging

To check whether the battery charges properly during operation, use a discharged battery pack or a battery pack that has less than 50% of the total power remaining when installed in the computer .

Perform operational charging. If the battery status indicator or icon does not light on, remove the battery pack and let it return to room temperature. Reinstall the battery pack. If the charge indicator or icon is still off, replace the battery pack.

Update us how things go.

Regards
