I have bought two days ago a Lenovo Yoga 720 13', and since yesterday I am experiencing issues with the touchpad.
There are two kinds of problems: one with the scrolling function, the other one when the pointer goes over some links (even without clicking them).
Problem number one: The scrolling functions only with some programs , and when working it produces a strange flickering of the page when I reach the bottom of the page. On words it works, and when I scroll until the end of the page, the whole Words page flickers for some moments. Very bizarre. On Chrome the scrolling does not work.
Problem number two: when on Chrome I drag the pointer over a link (like in the links that appear after a search with google) the whole Chrome page quivers for an instant. And it quivers for every other link the pointer touches (without clicking on it). Therefore, my searches on google are very painful for the eyes, for the whole page quivers every link I pass upon.
How can I fix this problem with the touchpad? I have already tried to check the settings, and to change them, with no result.
Thank you for all the help you could provide.

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.
(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal
Also, Try to download the Touchpad and Chipset drivers for the unit from the support page.
Make sure to reboot after an update on the unit.
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

I have had problelms with 2-fingered scrolling since I got my Yoga 720 just a few weeks ago. It seems worse in Chrome but occurs with other programs as well. Similar to the original poster, I will scroll towards the bottom of the page and then the cursor will skip the rest of the way down, stopping the scrolling motion and causing me to lose my place.
I keep trying to change the touchpad settings; nothing seems to help much. No new drivers are currently available. Other suggestions would be appreciated; this is a frustrating issue on a brand new machine.
