Project/ Connect to a wireless display don't work

I've got a Lenovo Yoga 900 with Windows 10.

Recently, I've bought a LG Projector (PW1500G) that can be used to project wireless via Screen Share.

I've always had some issues to connecting both, but since a couple weeks ago, I really can't connect them anymore.

The projector is fine, because I can connect it with my smartphones (LG G Flex 2 and OnePlus Two).

Hi PixieDust and welcome to the community,

You say that the projector is fine, but the devices you are using to test are Android. Have you tested with another Windows device?

I had the same issue with connecting my Yoga 900 to my Samsung TV. Android worked fine but no windows device would connect.

Hope this help you and let us know how you get on

Re: Project/ Connect to a wireless display don't work

Hi PixieDust,

Have you tried updating the driver for the Wifi card of the Yoga 900. I assume that this is an Intel Wifi card since as per the LG website the projector uses Screen Share (with Android O/S, WiDi supporting device). I would recommend downloading the Wifi driver from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/ for the latest driver.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Re: Project/ Connect to a wireless display don't work

Thanks for your help.
I've already do that.
Didn't work...

I assume that both devices can establish some kind of connection, as the Yoga's 900 screen flickers and the projector changes his message to "Connecting..."

Re: Project/ Connect to a wireless display don't work

Hi!

I've sucefully tested the projector with another PC.

I think the problem is the Windows 10 version.

The PC I've tested now has W10 1511 version (before Windows Aniversary Update) and mine has 1607 (after Aniversary Update).

Do you think it can be related with the W10 version?
