Why are we moving the thread ?, this has 64 pages of concern and NO answers from Lenovo, I have to tell you I went to best buy today and questioned the person there he was a rep for Lenovo and he said he was unaware of the problem, when He tried the yellow on the computer it looked like mustard, the best buy employees were gathering around behind watching as he attempted to try to resole the problem.. he never did, so I decided to NOT BUY the unit.

 

I am now considering going to a different manufacturer since Lenovo has NO input on this or fix...

Have you read any of the 63 pages? Lenovo is working on a fix, but it will take a few weeks, beginning last week to get it resolved. 

 

If you don't like the machine or don't want it, that's fine. Get something else, but you need not tell all of us.

I didn't see a lenovo rep say anywhere here they are working on a fix, its hard to believe the lenovo rep at best buy never heard of this if that's true. As far a telling YOU, well I'm not U...I'm telling Lenovo that they are losing a potential customer for a high end High cost computer and taking so long to respond or have a fix out as of now is crucial to keep a good reputation in the computer industry. Yes they did lose a sale today, shame!

I looked at a bunch of sub $1000 laptops today, all of them had a better yellow than this one.  I'm sorry, but this is not acceptable in a $1200 laptop.  I do graphic work and there is no way i could use this laptop for that.  Mind you, this is not my primary machine, but the colors are so far off that is it just not acceptable.  2 weeks left to decide to return it.  So far I love almost everything about it except the brightness will not stay consistent and the yellow is awful.  I am hoping both can be fixed, but I need some kind of answer that this can even be fixed.

A cursory look of Best Buy's website will tell you that the unit is sold out in NYC , I'm not sure of other markets. In other words, I think the unit is moving off store shelves just fine..

I want to thank you for your frequent helpful comments and fixes.  I changed my color according to your settings. :-)

 

Honestly, I am so used to the default color now that I hardly change the whole brightness profile thing.  However, I did use your settings.

 

It does seem that there are a lot of people not reading the 63 pages.  Can't say I blame them.  However, if everyone would take the time, they would find a lot of useful information.  I have been on here almost since the thread's inception because I was one of those first-person-at-Best-Buy people.  I have read all 63 pages, so I can say to any newcomers that although it may seem daunting, there is a lot of very helpful stuff in the thread if you can just wade through it.

 

:-)  Fred, I look forward to hearing whatever else you have to say.  I forget who the person is who is testing different OS platforms, but thanks to that person too.

There hasn't been any stock sent to Best Buy. Stores have only been receiving one, MAYBE two. And that was only for the initial batch, since then Best Buy hasn't recieved ANY. So I hardly consider that moving off the shelves when there isn't any to move to begin with. Although, what does this even have to do with anything anyway? Most of the ones that were bought at BB have since been returned due to these issues anyway.
