@arleiderman: That's odd, you're sure you have the newest drivers?

Re: Yoga 2 Pro Wifi Problems

The latest intel drivers does seem to improve the connection somewhat, but I have yet to test this on a few wifi hotspots and see how it behaves.

I still want to get that newest intel 7265 ac dual band adapter though, but there seems to be no information anywhere about which card is working with the yoga pro 2 and which doesn't. Please, for the love of god, can anyone of the Lenovo employees advise which version of 7265 ac adapter will work correctly with the lenovo yoga pro 2??

Intel 7260N with a hardware id:

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B2&SUBSYS_C2628086&REV_6B

Maybe I could've received the dual band version? Can anyone tell by the hardware ID if it's the single band or the double?

Hello everyone,

after several months of everything going stable, wifi issues started to go crazy, disconnecting, dropping speed, etc etc, finnally decided to change the wlan card for this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GUNZUG0

I change it this morning (it took 30 minutes more or less) and everything works perfectly now, high speed, no disconnecting, no dropping speed, so everything is great.

One thing I realized when I opened the computer is that one of the cables attached to the card was not attached, obviously that would mean that it was disconnected when I opened it but also that it was loose enough to be disconnected. So if you decide not to change the card at least check that the cables are properly connected.

Good luck everyone

Jose

Re: Yoga 2 Pro Wifi Problems

Hi all,

Also frustrated by this problem with an otherwise great system.  I'm getting wifi speeds of about 1/3 my bandwith sitting right next to the router, while all other devices in the house (Ipad, Samsung Galaxy Tab S, S4, Iphone 4, Dell Inspiron 5000 series) are getting the full speed (using speedtest.net/speedof.me)

I've updated the drivers to the most recent with absolutely no difference.

The interesting piece is that when I liveboot from a USB drive into Lubuntu the wifi speed is perfect.  Seems like this is a software not hardware problem and there should be some sort of way to improve it, especially if it works immediately in Linux...does anyone have any other explanation?

This is a real nuisance and I won't keep a machine that gives me 1/3 of the speed I'm paying for.  Certainly voiding the warranty in the hopes that it will work is out of the question (ie changing the card).  Thank god for Best Buy's return policy.

This is just tragic. Lenovo employees have no real answer on whether a device works with their product(remember RECENT HIGH END product!) and they are paitently waiting for their users to test which wifi cards really work with their products.

Why on earth do you create that whitelist in the BIOS then when even yourselves do not know what you put in there?

Will ANYONE from Lenovo tell me whether and if yes WHICH intel 7265 card will work with my Yoga Pro 2 without issues?

You invest so much into marketing, why is it hard to invest into 3-4 wifi cards and test them on your product then report here to make it easy on all of us?? At least you owe us that much for creating this buggy product.

The struggle is real, it's getting worse and worse,

Everytime my laptop wakes from sleep the wifi is dead and requires a restart....

My warrenty has now expired, but i did try lenovo support whilst it was in warranty. All they did was tell me to factory reset and if the problem persists contact them, but by then my warrenty expired.

This is a joke for a laptop that i spent £1300 on.

What do I do  =(
