Request recovery CDs from Lenovo and re-install just the OS. It will take a bit of work to re-load the drivers, but well worth it.
Or the other option, run TotalUninstall, and remove all the Lenovo related software (e.g., Smart Voice, Transition, Facial Recognition, Smart Connect (Intel), and any other non-Windows third party software.
I re-installed only Windows 8.1 Pro and my Yoga now runs smooth.
Or download the driver CD from Lenovo's Chinese website, for free, and avoid paying $100 for that .....
However, that won't do anything but waste people’s time. Medeiom, we already established you have not been hit with too much wifi interference. Hence you don't experience the problems many face. Trust me, your advice sounds like a generic support advice at this point. I am not trying to be rude but, telling people to reformat is awful advice. It has always been and will always be. After all, setting up a new computer takes hours/days. My setup (with no images) takes about 1 week. I have faced this problem since day 1, right out of the box. I have tried everything since then (yes, even a reformat). In the end, this problem affects too many uses to be just a fluke. At this stage, it is a widespread problem even on the new Y2 13" non-pro models (as you can see by the over 5+ users complaining about their WIFI). Unfortunately, they got stuck with the same WIFI cards as Y2P owners. It is sad to see that in spite of this 83 page thread and Lenovo’s Reps documenting this issue, they still sell these cards broken out of the box. Why not change cards or wait till a working driver is out before selling these units?
Btw, I get you are trying to help. I am not trying to be an _____. I just politely disagree with your advice, in spite of your good nature.
