Thanks for the card information.

For best connection and speed, any recommendations for a router that is compatible with the Y2P configuration, Win 8.1 and 7260NGW?

My router has been in use for mnay years and is ready for an update, may as well move forward.

How about some support and response from Lenovo on this ISSUE? It's great that the forums are moderated, but how about some sort of help or guidance from Lenovo on this? I see that you're not a Lenovo employee, but you must have contacts or some way to talk to someone that is.

Yeah, the frustration on here is entirely the fault of Lenovo for ignoring a problem with a critical component that it sourced. This thread has over 900 posts and the vast majority are from people who have experienced the same problem, attempted the suggested remedies, and are still experiencing the same issue. Given the fact that a Lenovo ThinkPad product had a connection problem caused by proprietary Lenovo software, I would have thought more consideration would be given to a similar occurence here. At least a note from Lenovo that it had considered this option. But no.

I am typing this message from my Lenovo Yoga 13, which is running Win 8.1 and uses a Realtek RTL8723AU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 network adapter. It is rock solid connecting everywhere I go. This computer has one glitch (the touchscreen sometimes goes away when using a USB mouse), but is otherwise one of the best computers I have ever used. That's why I went with the Y2P for my wife. However, the connection problems are an absolute dealbreaker. Who can have their internet connection just drop for no reason?

I am unsubscribing from this post and will seek other options.

If you're going to stick with the default N card, go with this..

http://www.amazon.com/RT-N16-Wireless-N-Maximum-Performance-single/dp/B00387G6R8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398196043&sr=8-1&keywords=single+band+router

Otherwise, any AC dual band router will work with the Intel AC wifi card.

So is the basic jist is that the current drivers for the N card don't work all that well? My connection is usually awful (and I feel like the whole network gets dragged down when the Y2P is open). I'd really hate to have to buy an AC card for this. I really wouldn't have this issue anymore with that card?

Does the reccommended Intel AC dual band card also work well if used in 2.4GHz band only?  Most of the routers I connect to do not support 5GHz band.

That's corrct. It's proven that the drivers work better with the dual band AC card and you get speeds of 866.7 Mbps as well.
