Re: Refurb Yoga 11...not working right out of box!!!

The instructions have several cases depending on the exact situation (i.e. will the machine start or not). I think it's covered in the "Recovery system" section of the User Guide.

Ok I found something out.

https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Idea-Windows-based-Tablets-and/Firmware-Update-for-Yoga-11/td-p/1268697

That link talks about a firmware update for the Yoga 11. I says the firmware updated 3 things. Touch, keyboard and the touchpad. I compared the details of the driver installed by the new firmware. I saw in the link it says it updated to a oem60.inf file. My touch  controller says in the details that a oem34.inf file is installed as a driver. I looked on my computer for a oem60.inf but I didn't find it. I am talking to Lenovo right now but they seem lost on the issue. I also want to say there was a System Update in Windows Update that was from Lenovo but it failed to install it. I have had a few times when I reboot the screen stops booting and it shows the Lenovo logo and below the logo it says something about doing a system update on the computer. But it doesn't go anywhere and it just stops. I have to turn it off and on and then it goes to windows. I believe it is attempting  to do the firmware update but something is stopping it. I am getting a process# from Lenovo to send for repairs now.

I sent the unit in for repair. The firmware was the issue and Lenovo tried to update and couldn't. They had to change the motherboard in order to fix the issue. Everything seems to work now.
