2014-11-03, 12:41 PM

I have been looking around to find out wether my Yoga2  is upgradable or not and if it is, which SSD to choose...?

Is there a second slot or not, is it m2 or mSATA? Does it only support  Crucial SSD? Which size is supporterted?

I have:

Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 2 13.3" FHD

Core i7-4510U, 8GB RAM, 500GB SSHD

Product number: 59428552

Please read the topics on this subject:

If you are not able to find this easy accessible information on this board yourself,

t might not be a good idea to add any hardware yourself ...

Thank you for adressing this so clearly, as you might have read in my question (between the lines) I have read several inputs regarding this matter, also the two you are adressing. To be more accurate in my request:
- I understand from reading the forums that there are several hardware setups (and probably mainboards ) in the Yoga 2 family. In order to avoid opening the computer twice (to check before ordering and then again after getting the SSD), I wanted to know from people having the exact same edition which SSD works best and if 480/500GB is supported or not (as I also have read that some doesn't support larger SSD's than 256GB's.) therefore I also submitted the Lenovo product number.

Your BIOS version is the important thing questioning compatibility...

You could, as there is spare drive bay.

But you have to solve this issue:
