Settings not saved

Hi!

When I change the Synaptics gesture settings for the trackpad on my new Yoga 20FQ they only work until I restart the laptop.

After reboot the settings is back to default.

Any hints in that?

Re: Settings not saved

Hi LeifAnd ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

You can try the steps in this article changing value on the registry :

"Open up regedit.exe

Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install

Note this is LOCAL MACHINE, not CURRENT USER.

Look for a key in that Install folder called DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade

Double click and change the value to 0

Now go back to the Synaptics control panel, set everything how you like, and reboot. "

Hope this helps.

Update us how it goes for you.

Regards

Re: Settings not saved

Thanks for the help, but the Synaptics settings still gets reset after restart.

Any other suggestions?

Leif

Re: Settings not saved

Hi again!

Now it seems to work!

When I opened the setting through Windows Trackpad/Mouse settings it works.

Earlier I made the changes through the Lenovo settings app.

Re: Settings not saved

Hi LeifAnd ,

Greetings.

Good that it works .

The registry provided in the article are intended for Windows synaptics while lenovo setting is only a management tool that is dependent on the same Windows settings that may have misconfigured.
