The AMD Ryzen 7 2700U is pretty powerful, so should be fine for video and photo editing.

You can upgrade both the RAM and SSD.

1) It looks like all the SSDs in the Yoga 530-14ARR's parts list are M.2 PCIe SSDs.

Lenovo uses various brands for SSDs, but they should all be around 3200Mb/s read, 1800 Mb/s write. Now these are estimates based on the Samsung 960 Evo NVMe, which Lenovo uses an OEM version for the Yoga 530. I also found another SSD in the parts list for this laptop that Lenovo sells directly that has a max transfer rate of 32Gbps.

For display information, NotebookCheck has a really great in-depth review on the display; I highly recommend checking it out. The review says the display is 62% sRGB and 40% AdobeRGB accurate. It has a really high 2182:1 contrast ratio and an incredibly low 0.11cd/m^2 black value (those are some really good numbers, definitely better than others in this segment). The reviewer has an InfoVision M140NWF5 R2 LCD panel, but keep in mind Lenovo uses different suppliers for the display panels, though specifications for them should be similar. If you want the full parts list of LCD panels Lenovo uses for the Yoga 530, here it is:

Hope that helps with your purchasing decision and good luck!

Eric Xu
