Touch screen issues

You can check whether the touch screen is forbidden, whether it is closed by the shortcut key; try to reinstall the touch screen driver; whether you have replaced the system, and see if your computer model is compatible with the reinstalled system? If it still doesn't work, it may be a hardware problem, and it needs to be replaced.

Welcome to the Community Forums @ babyfuzzy!

Glad to have you posting here!

Please try performing a power drain to your Yoga 300 laptop first by pressing/holding its Power button for 10 to 15 seconds until it turns OFF.

Once done, press the Power button again to turn it ON and see if the touchscreen will work again properly.

Also, please go to Device Manager by right-clicking on Start/Windows symbol then click on View and select Show hidden devices.

Expand the Human Interface Devices tab afterwards and check if the HID-compliant touchscreen driver is still in there.

Check if the touchscreen driver is disabled (if it's there) by right-clicking on it then select Properties and go to Driver tab.

Aside from that, please share here your machine's MTM (machine type-model) number as well for us to check its specifications.

It can be seen through the device's label/sticker or its original packaging and does usually have a format of 8********R as an example.

Another thing to do is to test if the touchscreen also works properly when the device is in Tent or Tablet mode.
