Touchpad doesn't work

2021-10-26, 14:09 PM

Hello everyone,

I'm having a problem with my touchpad. At the moment, I'm using a Yoga 530-14ARR Laptop (ideapad) - Type 81H9. I updated the operating system to Windows 10 21H1, and after finishing the update, the touchpad no longer works. I have the most updated drivers and tried the settings. Any ideas or solutions about how to solve the problem?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Bayu

Welcome to the Community Forums @ bmunggaran !

Thanks for posting here!

Just to ask, when did the issue started to happen?

Did you also make any changes to your Yoga 530 laptop before the touchpad started not to work?

By the way, please share here your Yoga 530 laptop's MTM (machine type-model) number for us to check its specifications as this would help us detail more about your machine variant while keeping the confidentiality of your serial number.

It can be seen through the device's label/sticker or its original packaging and does usually have a format of 8********R as an example.

Here's a link as well that contains additional methods in obtaining your device's details.

Aside from that, please share here its current BIOS version/date.

Press Windows + R key then type in msinfo32 to open the System Information window and get the details from there.

For now, try to do a power drain first by pressing and holding its Power button for 10 to 15 seconds until it turns OFF.

Once done, power ON the device again and test the touchpad.

Also, check if the touchpad is currently disabled by pressing the touchpad hotkey on your keyboard.

Thanks,
