Touchscreen on Yoga 530-14IKB Laptop

Hey guys,

 

I have a problem with my touchscreen on my Yoga 530. When I looked into the device manager, there's no driver related to the touchscreen in the HID (Human Interface Device) driver which I assume should responsible for the touchscreen function to work. It's not a driver issue as when I format it, the touchscreen works but only until the laptop update the drivers by itself, then it doesn't anymore.

 

 

Any idea where can I download any driver for the touchscreen? It's not listed in the Lenovo download driver section.

Hi ,

 

Greetings!

 

Try performing a power drain. 

- Remove all peripheral devices connected to the laptop 

- Press and hold the power button for 15 - 20 seconds

- Reconnect the Charger then turn on the laptop

 

If the driver is still missing in device manager, check for Windows update and install all updates available for your laptop.

Hello Auxen,

 

I have done these steps but to no avail:

 

a) Install latest Windows (November Update)

b) Check updates in Lenovo Vantage

 

The touchscreen is still not working and the driver associated with the touchscreen function is yet to be found in the Device Manager. What is the name of the driver that is responsible for the touchscreen capability and where can I obtain it?

Additionally, I have done the power drain too as suggested by you but nothing changes.

Lenovo Yoga 720-131KB touch screen does not work. 

The device is current with all window software updates. No peripheral devices are connected. I have powered down and on again, several times. Disabled the HID-compliant touch pad, re-enabled, powered down and on again. Have shut down from the dialog box and restarted. Lenovo Vantage reports the device is current with all hardware and device updates. Double checked for updates with easy driver. The touch screen still does not work. Here is a screen shot of the Human interface devices. What other information do you need to troubleshoot?
