Touchscreen stopped working on Yoga 730-13

2021-07-30, 1:01 AM

I have not had a problem with my Lenovo Yoga 730-13 but my touchscreen simply stopped working.  I see many customer complaints and issues with this design flaw and problem.  Does anyone know if there is a fix and or has Lenovo provided a solution or product replacement?

You can check the driver problem; check the connection problem; check the system setting problem; check whether the hardware is damaged.

I tried those already.  It appears Lenovo has a known product design issue that has not been addressed and customers are being negatively impacted

Hello @ Vinmo!

Thanks for posting here at the Community Forums!

Apologies for the delayed response.

When did the issue started to happen? Did this started to happen after an update?

Also, please share here your Yoga 730 laptop's MTM (machine type-model) number for us to check its specifications.

It can be seen through the device's label/sticker or its original packaging and does usually have a format of 8********R as an example.

Aside from that, please share here its current BIOS version/date as well.

Please press Windows + R key then type in msinfo32 to open the System Information window and get the details from there.

For now, try performing a power drain first by pressing/holding the Yoga 730's Power button for 10 to 15 seconds until it turns OFF.

Once done, press the Power button again to turn ON the Yoga 730 laptop then test the touchscreen again.

Another thing is to go to Device Manager by right-clicking on Start/Windows symbol.

After that, click on View then select "Show hidden devices" then click on the Human Interface Devices tab and see if the HID-compliant consumer control touchscreen driver is still there and try updating it.

Thanks,

Adriel_Lenovo
