Trackpad driver for the Yoga 2 Pro?

2014-03-16, 1:46 AM

Anyone has a working trackpad driver that does the following 4 things:

1. 2 Finger scroll (even if I have to enable it via the registry)

2. Able to disable the reverse scrolling

3. Does not deselect my text when I try to highlight something

4. Disables itself upon using my computer in tablet mode

1. 2 Finger scroll (even if I have to enable it via the registry) - Default drivers do this

2. Able to disable the reverse scrolling - See registry change below

3. Does not deselect my text when I try to highlight something - I don't follow the issue?

4. Disables itself upon using my computer in tablet mode - Default driver does this

Set this in registry to enable the display of the setting in the synaptics control panel. You can toggle it in the control panel.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTPCpl\Controls\2MultiFinger\NestedPropertySheet\1TwoFingers\ReverseScrollCheckBox\Visibility=0
If Visibility is set to 4 (default) the control is not displayed, with it set to 0 it is shown.

I notice it sometimes in PowerPoint 2013: when I use the tap-and-a-half technique to start Selection and then lasso several PowerPoint objects...when I lift my finger off the touchpad, nothing stays selected. It's as if the driver is registering another 'down' event at the point where I lift my finger.

#3 for me it doesn't matter how high the cursor speed is, the deselect still happens randomly. The good news is that it seems to be a driver issue

Well not good news until it's fixed. Cause even if it's a driver issue, if they don't plan to fix it, it be equivalent to a hardware issue.
