I have had my Yoga 710 for the last 6 months without any problems, until a couple of days ago, when my Trackpad stopped working. There is no response from the cursor, which disappears when I use the touchscreen. I can see the cursor when I press Ctrl, but is completely unresponsive when I try to use the trackpad.
I have been through the forums and tried everything short of resetting the computer with no success:
-Tried to enable the mouse from the control panel, there was no option to enable or disable the touchpad.
-Tried every combination of deleting, updating and checking the mouse driver.
-Updated the BIOS from the website. I also could not find an option to enable the mouse from the BIOS screen.
-Fully updated Windows 10.
-Booted up the computer in Safe Mode, no joy.
I am running Windows 10 on a Lenovo Yoga 710 14ISK, model 80TY, the touchpad is Synaptics. According to the Control Panel, the device drivers are up to date, and the device is (apparently) working properly.
Many thanks in advance for any help offered.

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.
(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal
Try to download the Chipset drivers for the unit from the support page.
Then try the factory reset if the issue persists on the unit.
If these steps do not work I would recommend, that you call your local Lenovo support line for a possible service. Below is the link to the phone list where you can find these numbers
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
