Updated whitelist for Yoga 2 pro

Is there an updated whitelist for the Yoga 2 pro? I see where Indest posted one in 2014 but the list is outdated. I have tried finding the Intel 7260 but it's been discontinued and I don't want to have to order another and have to send it back. I tried the Intel 7265 (which you'd thing would be the replacement for the 7260) but I get the "Unauthorized wireless network card is plugged in...". The BIOS version is 76CN43WW.

Re: Updated whitelist for Yoga 2 pro

Hi butchcoats ,

Greetings.

Latest update discussion here that you can review regarding the topic.

Checking back on the support site for the latest BIOS but no indication of adding specific WLAN was included on the whitelist still.

Further discussion here for secondary reference.

Regards

Re: Updated whitelist for Yoga 2 pro

Yeah from what I see the only card that fits is the Intel 7260 and it has been discontinued. The other cards listed in the whitelist that was posted in Indest's post https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yoga-Series-Notebooks/Yoga-2-Pro-BIOS-Approved-WiFi-Cards-ALL-of... have 2 holes in them on each end and the card that fits the Yoga 2 Pro only has one hole. So that's why I need an updated whitelist.

Re: Updated whitelist for Yoga 2 pro

Hi butchcoats ,

Greetings.

No update on the whitelist and option you can look is going outside OEM whitelist like modding the BIOS.

Such maybe available on other forum sites but I would not suggest due to the risk of bricking your machine.

Best that you take caution on any decisions that you may want to proceed.

Regards
