Why LCD brightness increases when I unplug the Yoga C930 from an AC adapter?

2019-05-30, 2:27 AM

Hi, I encounter a strange situation. When I unplugged the laptop from the AC adapter, the screen became brighter. Plugging it to the AC adapter dimmer the screen. How come? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Hi! thanks for posting in our community. You may have set the advanced power setting for brightness to different level when in battery or plugged in. You just need to disable them for both. Here is how:

Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options, then click on "Change plan settings" next to your active power plan. Scroll down to Display, then under Enable adaptive brightness, switch it off for both the battery and plugged in modes.
