Will opening a yoga 520 void the warranty?

2017-07-15, 22:05 PM

The Lenovo YOGA 520 comes with a 256GB PCI SSD and a empty slot for a 2.5 inch drive. If I were to open the laptop up to populate that 2.5 inch slot with my own SSD, would that void the one years warranty? Also does the 520 support digitizer pens?

Thank You

Hi dzle,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Opening the laptop does not void the warranty not unless that something would break during the process.

You may check out the hardware manual for reference as well as call in technical support for verification.
