Will upgrading to 8 GB RAM (from 4 GB) on my Lenovo Yoga 500 void the warranty?

Will upgrading to 8 GB RAM (from 4 GB) on my Lenovo Yoga 500 void the warranty? Will the Lenovo store in my locality be able to do the upgrade?

In order to replace the RAM you have to remove the rear cover, so it would void your warranty if you did it yourself, but an authorized Lenovo Service Center should be able to do it for you and keep your warranty intact, just be sure to keep your receipt, and verify with them first that they are authorized to work on Yoga models, and that your warranty will not be affected.

Here is a list of authorized Lenovo Service Centers

Re: Will upgrading to 8 GB RAM (from 4 GB) on my Lenovo Yoga 500 void the warranty?

I've ask a simylar question some day ago.

Here the link: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yoga-Series-Notebooks/Yoga-500-14-quot-void-warranty/m-p/3283233...

After i've call to Lenovo Support and i've ask more informations....answer is that i can change my RAM and My Hard Disk without void warranty, but if when i do it i damage other notebook parts (Eg. Motherboard, battery, etc) warranty doen't cover damage caused by me in the process of replacing parts.

I've buy a new Lenovo one week ago and next week i upgrade hard disk and Ram memory.

Bye
