Re: Wordpress/Thumbnail problem on Y2P
I have a blog on wordpress (hosted on their servers). A post typically has lots of pictures as thumbnails (no, it's not a mucky site!).
When I view a page on my old machine (XP, latest firefox or opera) everything is fine. The thumbnails load as thumbnails.
However, when I load the same page on my Y2P, all the thumbnails load as expected then, when they have finished, they all download and display as the FULLSCALE (1600x1200pixel) pictures. What should be a 2MB page of thumbnails ends up being 70MB of traffic. The humungous size of the pictures also messes-up the flow of text and pictures.
I have tried (latest versions of) Firefox, Opera, Chrome and MSIE on the Y2P. Same result. It is also the same for numerous different pages on my blog.
I have googled the problem and the only useful result was a wordpress plug-in intended to refresh thumbnail sizes for people who have recently changed wordpress theme (which I haven't). However, I assume that this only applies to people who are hosting their own content, as there is no method to apply the plug-in when wordpress themselves are doing the hosting.
Therefore, I assume it is something to do with win8 or the hi-def screen on the Y2P. Is this another 'Photoshop'-like problem ? A page from my blog is here. Pictures should be 150px thumbnails.
any ideas ?
