YOGA 50-70 with Realtek RTL8723BE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC

I have a wifi router bichannel 2.4 - 5 Ghz

MY LAPTOP IS NOT ABBLE TO 'SEE' THE WIFI + AT 5 GHZ; only sees the 2.4 Ghz channel

That's the way it is, or there is a way to fix this and work with 5.0 Ghz?

It only works at mode 'n' or may also work at mode 'ac' ?

Thanks

Re: YOGA 50-70 with Realtek RTL8723BE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC

Hello and welcome,

Looks like that Realtek card is a single-band (2.4GHz) card.

The simplest way to get 5GHz access is probably an inexpensive USB device.

[edit to add] I've not run across a _Yoga_ 50-70.  is this actually a Yoga laptop?

Something like this.  I'm not recommending this particular unit. I have no experience with it - but it is an example of the kind of thing to look for.
