Re: YOGA 500-14 STYLUS PEN

I want to know if I can use an active pen on my Yoga500 as windows 10 supports digital ink apps and things like the sticky notes app need an active pen.
btw a normal stylus can be use in some as already you have to. - . select the touch keyboard icon on the task bar icon in Win 10 then select undock icon and write in the box with your stylus hth

Re: YOGA 500-14 STYLUS PEN

Hi,

No, the Yoga 500 doesn't support an active stylus. You can use the passive ones (the black nibs or even Adonit's Jot Pro Mini - I have one) fine.

Activate the Ink Experience manually by right-clicking the taskbar and checking "Show WIndows Ink Workspace" button. It'll show up next to the keyboard button as a pen with a line - touch there and you'll have the sketch and sticky note options usable with your finger or capacitive stylus.

Re: YOGA 500-14 STYLUS PEN

Hi I think the name might say "Active Stylus" but it clearly says in the description: "Fine Point Technology capacitive stylus tip". Read the reviews on that link; that's basically just a capacitive tip which emulates a finger; by the looks of things it can only be used as an active stylus on screens that have active digitisers, and you have to unscrew the nib to use it on normal passive capacitive scrdigitisers (like the Yoga 500). I have a Adonit Jot Mini which does the same, but it's also a capacitive stylus, not a proper active pen aka the ThinkPad styli or the Surface Pro pen.

Thanks MattDN93

The sketch app  in the Windows ink workspace is working with a  passive pen  but the sticky notes  doesnt  and thats the one I 'd really lik to be able to use so just to clarify will the sticky notes app work  if i  get  and use a cacpacitive stylus on my Yoga  500 ?
