[YOGA 530-14IKB] Input audio quality is bad

2021-05-05, 18:17 PM

The quality of my input sound is really bad. It is unstable, "like from distance" , too quiet..  It is same from build in microphone, and for all various microphones I connected through 3.5 mm input. I tested it in multiple apps (windows sound recorder, discord, OBS, zoom) and with multiple people on the other side.

It works fine with microphone through DroidCam (uses mic from android phone through wifi). I didn't tested BT mic.

My mics (headsets) are fine. I tested it with android phone.

The weirdest part: It works completely fine only in Microsoft Teams. Maybe it rewrites some Windows10 settings to get the best audio quality?? I don't know..

Facepalm. Manually update of audio driver helped. I thought the Vantage app do this automatically..

Hello @ JaBek!

Welcome to the Community Forums!

It's good to know that the concern's been sorted out now after updating the Audio driver.

There should be an option in the Vantage app wherein you can set the updates to be downloaded/installed automatically though, you may still go to the Lenovo support site and enter your machine's serial number to get the drivers that you needed for your machine and install it manually instead.

Thanks,
