YOGA 530 14IKB constantly loosing wifi connections

I have recently last week bought YOGA 530 14IKB laptop and it's frustating experience. It continiously keep dropping WIFI connections. I am not experiencing WIFI issue with other laptop including lenovo E480 series. I have contacted Lenovo support team twice and they tried everything including updating Windows 10 & Realtek drivers but the problem still exist. They closed ticket stating that this is what they can do and asked to check with internet service providers. That's crazy!

Windows 10 Home

WIFI Driver : Realtek 8822BE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC

Even Croma shop refuses to replace or return laptop. Do anyone know what is fix for this? i checked forum but could not find proper solution and see that there are enough complaints in forum.

Hi KisanShirke,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Can you try using this driver from Thinkpad E580 -  version 2024.0.5.103          ?

Update us how it goes for you.

Regards

Re: YOGA 530 14IKB constantly loosing wifi connections

I'm having the exact same problem with my Flex 6 14IKB.  I found that driver Realtek 8822BE Wireless LAN Driver 2024.0.4.101 is the problem fro me.  I deleted the adapter and driver and let the Windows 10 common version install, 2023.70.109.2018 via new hardware scan.  Now no problem.  You can also download this version here [https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds502311]

BTW I tested other previous versions of this device driver and all worked better than 2024.0.4.101, but still had some more intermittant drops.  Especially in "noisy" environments.  2023.70.109.2018 is the only one I've found to be reliable.

The only problem I have now is keeping the driver from updating. I've turned off Lenovo auto updates, but it seems it's getting updated thru Windows.  This has been frustrating for me too.  Hope this helps you.
