YOGA 710-14IKB - Brand new laptop won't turn on

Hi,

 

I just bought a brand new YOGA 710-14IKB but the laptop won't turn on. When I press the power button it lights up and then it shuts down. I have read everything from the lenovo forum and on youtube but I can't fix it. It is very urgent as I'm leaving indefinitely.

 

I could send it in to the manufacturer but I don't think they can fix it in time. Every piece of advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.

 

Pro tip: Take the extra 30 seconds to unscrew and physically remove the battery --

You push the power button 10 times in a row at one second intervals. Next, you push and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then you put the battery back in and push the power button.

 

Here is the HMM for yoga 700

Hi again,

 

I took the laptop to the retailer and they gave me a new one.

Hi Shashi,
I'm in the same predicament with a 1-month old YOGA 710 14IKB, and this is the second device this happens (the first one was replaced within the first fortnight).
Do you have an idea what is the origin of the problem? because once this device gets repaired I fear the issue will come up again.
Also, I often see the recommendation to remove the battery, but that will make the warranty void, right?
Hope you can shed some light, because this is a highly disruptive problem. For all intents and purposes, the device dies with all the pain and trouble that entails.
I'll appreciate any information
