If you manage to isolate the flickering on the LCD panel, I suggest to call in technical support for immediate intervention. They would be able to check further the point of failure and suggest the option to resolve this.

Technical support offered no resolution and when I requested a return/refund, Lenovo has been exteremely rude stating the period for return/refund has passed(30 days). This is an unusable model and lenovo should themselves offer returns/refunds instead of trying to tag substandard products on to customers. Atrocious experience. Never again purchasing a Lenovo again. Not even going to recommend my friends and family to purchase any another Lenovo.

I sent my laptop in on 8/16 to be repaired under warranty and the current status is the following:
"After performing problem determination our service technician has identified the failure. Despite our best efforts to maintain inventory of all repair components, the service part needed to repair your machine is currently unavailable. We are working diligently to obtain replenishment stock and will repair your machine as soon as the part becomes available."
FWIW to rest of you having this issue.

I had been having the same issue, and like someone above said, pressing on the lower left of the screen alleviated the problem at least for a little while, so on mine, it's definitely a hardware issue. Unfortunately, I've already sent mine in for repair once because it was completely unusable. It was okay for about a week before I got the flicker again. I haven't even pushed the screen past 90 degrees yet. Pressing on the same area alleviated the problem just like before. My husband's 15" is having the same problems. I'm having a big case of buyer's remorse.

Same issue here. Bought laptop end of august, 1st week of sept flickers like crazy.
I contacted support told them it flickered they immediately said return it. They know it's a common issue.
I made the mistake of requesting a replacement machine but I think now I should just forget it and get the Dell as I'm afraid this will just be an ongoing issue.
