Yoga 13 Hotfix Issue

2013-07-03, 17:42 PM

Since I was having storage issues like most others with the Yoga 13, I decided to use the Hotfix to see if it would help. I used it and it worked successfully, or at least sort of. It backed up my D: drive and put it into the C: like it was supposed to and then deleted the extra drive, but for some reason I still only have 33.9 GB on my C: drive (8.5 GB free) and yet no D: drive. I went into computer management and it says I have 53GB unallocated, and then 4 other partitions still there, 3 of them completely free with about 1000MB each, and then one of them has 30GB on it and 20GB free. Can anybody help me with why it didn't actually add more space to the C: drive?

hi senki,

Your issue might be similar to this thread.

According to the Yoga 13 Hotfix FAQs.  it should automatically extend the unallocated space to the C-Drive to make it bigger. In an event that it doesn't, you can follow this guide by Yikes2000. on how to manually repartition the Yoga 13.

Hope this helps.

Re: Yoga 13 Hotfix Issue

Unfortunately I ran the hotfix too, an a Yoga 13 I just got.  Really odd that systems are being sent out with out this already done.  Manufactured 13/01/15 ... should be a non issue, but I received with 59.7 GB C-drive and 25.3 GB D-drive.  Hotfix did not complete correctly, I do have more space in C-drive, but I also have a Q:(PBR_DRV) approx. 8.5 GB with 1.31 free

Sooo, whether I left the partitions as they are now, or Yikes2000 steps from here.

1)  what should I do with the contents of Q:

some sort of OKR files, that aren't helpful to/or found by OKR

2)  how do you regain use of OneKey (OKR)?

I think I have more questions, but still reading through the board

YohGoNuts: Did you ever come up with a solution?

I ran the hotfix today and got to the same problem. I have 57GB unallocated, and a 12GB Q: drive called "PBR_DRV"

I believe my issue might have been caused because my C drive only had about 4GB empty when running the hotfix, and I got a message that a file failed to transfer at 78%, due to lack of storage space.

When I re-run the hotfix utility, I get the message "default partition layout has changed".

Anybody have any ideas?
