Yoga 13 Palmcheck Disables Touchpad During Typing

2012-12-29, 1:05 AM

With the latest Synaptic drivers, when palmcheck is turned on, the mouse is disabled during typing, which I find infuriating -- because there's a lag when I'm trying to swtich between applications using the keyboard, during multitasking. I rolled back the drivers to; which does not turn off the touchpad during typing, even with palmcheck at its strongest. But this driver leads to certain problems with the touchscreen (including the inability to keep the on screen keyboard up for more than a second).

We should at least be given the option of whether we want to turn off the touchpad during typing. If we can't get a driver update that fixes this, I'll have to return this machine and get the x230 I should have gotten in the first place.
