Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
Can you try checking under
Now on this window look for Sleep and open it up.
Look for "Allow hybrid sleep"
Make sure that it is on and save changes
Check and let me know if that works.

Can you try disabling the Hibernate.
Open a command Prompt and try this command
powercfg.exe /hibernate off
Your system might be entering this mode and failing to recover

Trying to do this but says unable to perform, may not have permission. Sorry, i'm not versed on how to type commands. Do I need to type anything else before powercfg.exe /hibernate off ? I'm the only user so I assume I'm admin

Ok, thanks. So I type powecfg.exe then a space, then /hibernate then a space, then off ??
Did that and i just got the command prompt again -- is that what I should see or will I see some confirmation?

I also have this problem again after my laptop settings have been reset due to repair, even though I've updated my BIOS to the version of August 12th. So far I know, the unwanted shutdown happened when my laptop was on battery. Now I have enabled "hybrid sleep" mode, but I don't know yet if that will work for me.
Are there any other solutions found?
