I have just installed the final version of Windows 8.1.
The thing I've moserly been waiting for is Miracast.
As for now when I search for wireless displays (Add new device menu) it doesn't appear to find my TV. (An unpaired Android device can)
I'm thinking about driver issues with 8.1.. Did anyone already tried it?

Thanks for your reply.
Are you 100% on this?
Please look at the following blog post that covers the requirements of Miracast:
As per the article, the WiFi NDIS version should be higher than 6.3 to support Miracast. It appears that my Yoga has a 6.4 NDIS version. (So it should be OK).
One more thing I need to mention is that I played with the drivers and instlled to old once to check some stuff.
When I installed the old once, the menu of "Search for wireless displays" disappeared from Windows 8.1 menu.
It means that the driver must support it then, right?
Waiting for more input...

The wifi chipset itself has to support it as well, not just the driver level. Any card, even the oldest cards can support that driver level, that doesn't mean Miracast will work.

Do you have any proof somewhere? Is it documented anywhere?
And BTW: If I want to buy a WiFi USB Dungle to stream my desktop with Miracast, how do I know if its chipset supports it?

just to note that I still haven't got a final answer regarding this. I did see any document that says that the WiFi chipset does not support Miracast.
Still waiting for an official answer.

DirectX is telling you that the intel graphics card supports it. The wireless card needs to be fully miracast capable and certified, and I'm just going to take a stab in the dark here and guess that the USB realtek adapter, that you can barely find mention of anywhere on the internet, lenovo shoehorned into this laptop isn't compatible.
