Re: Yoga 13 mSata storage limit?

There are some small tabs that you have to slot in while replacing the keyboard -- you need to put it in place about a cm above the final position and slide it downloads to slot those. If it feels like something's underneath the keyboard, it could be one of those metal tabs not in its slot. The first time I replaced my keyboard I missed a couple of those and it was really bouncy.

I did have to add a few extra pieces of double-stick tape to make the keyboard completely solid again.

So what's the verdict on warranty issues? Im thinking of getting the 4gb ram version with a 3year warranty, and upgrading to 8gb ram as soon as i get it.
If the process void s the warranty then I'll have to forget the 8gb ram upgrade

Are you sure the SATA port is 3GB/s?  I seem to have stumbled onto something, concerning the port speed.

Boot the lappy and run a benchmark on the SSD and I get the following:

Bench_1.jpg

Close the lid and let it sleep for a few seconds.

Open the lid and run the same benchmark again and I get the following:

Bench_2.jpg

I get the same results no matter what bench mark I use. Is it possible that the ports are actually SATA 3 and we are hindered by driver issues that limit the speeds to SATA 2?

Re: Yoga 13 mSata storage limit?

Hi,

haven't bought the yoga 13 yet, since i am still deciding which is my best option.

I planed on going for the i7 Version because of the 256 GB SSD.

Does anybody know if that is a single SSD occupying only one slot, or if it is 2x128GB SSDs?

Now I am also curious if the i5 128 SSD-option is probably the better buy, since i can just upgrade the SSD myself in the next months... i5 and i7 don't differ that much.

Any suggestions?

My i7 came with one 256GB SSD; I've added another for a total of 512GB. :)
