Yoga 14 Battery 0% (Plugged in, charging)

Hey there,

So I have this problem where my Yoga 14 will only turn on if I plug in the AC adapter, and once I remove the adapter the computer shuts off.  I downloaded the BIOS update, BUT, since my battery says "Plugged in, 0% available" my Thinkpad will not let me install it, as it says that my battery is not charged sufficiently.  What can I do? Thank you all so much!

Re: Yoga 14 Battery 0% (Plugged in, charging)

Hi michsnyder17,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

The hardware manual have some steps for power checkout (Page 26-27) that you can try.

To this extent I think you need to have the battery integrity checked if it does need to be replaced. You can try to plug the machine for 2-3 hours without powering it. This should at least increase the charge if the battery is good or if there is no issue with the machine charging it.

I hope this helps answer your query.

Regards
