The Seagate ST500LT032 500GB hard drive has failed in my Yoga 2 11.
I would like to replace it with a Western Digital WD10JPLX (SATA 2.5") 1TB hard drive.
Is the Western Digital drive compatible?

No, WD WD10JPLX won't compatible with your laptop. Yoga 2 11" supports SATA3 disks, 5mm high. WD disk is 9.5mm.
According to Hardware Maintenance Manual, four disks were tested to be compatible with your laptop (one didn't had FRU and model name, so I didn't inclued it below):
- FRU: 16200575, ST500LT032 6G 5mm 500G HDD, 500G 5400RPM N
- FRU: 16200584, WD5000MPCK-24AWHT0 6G 5mm 500G HDD, 500G 5400RPM N
- FRU: 16200616, WD5000M22K-24Z1LT0 MJ500Sh-2 16GB, HYBRID 500G 5400RPM SSHD (16G) N
Try to look for these disks. If you won't be able to get them, you may try to buy different model, as long as it's SATA3 5mm.
