Re: Yoga 2 13 Wireless Card Unauthorized Message

Just an udpate on this new card in a Yoga 2 13, after installing the latest Ubuntu 15.04 beta with the 3.19 kernel and the v12 Intel NIC firmware, I now have no issues with either 5GHz or 2.4GHz connections.  Previously with 14.10 and v10 firmware it would drop often and be somewhat unreliable.

@alexds

I tried pairing my Parrot Zik 2 : no BT issue anymore. I also tried my old Phillips BT headphone..;Issues are gone !

But... the Parrot microphone does not work under windwos... Souns to be a know Parrot issue... Nothing to do with the WiFi BT dongle !

Thank you for your feedback : it seem the mic is working with some specific chipset.

Are you using "auto connect" on the Parrot ? (It mean connect automatically to your Yoga) Or do you use "manual connection" ? (It mean use "connect" function of you BT software).

I ask this, because I use my parrot with many devices (Yoga, Nexus, Phone), and don't use auto-connect to avoid connection to the wrong device. And the problem with the Yoga, is that with Realtek BT, I can't use the "Connect" option (not displayed) : I have to remove and add again the device ...

Hi everybody,

I'm still waiting for a solution to order the 35020612 card, but the Lenovo Serviceshop is unable to deliver it.

Mark_Lenovo : do you have a solution ?

Re: Yoga 2 13 Wireless Card Unauthorized Message

After a brief period of happiness my Bluetooth mouse is out again... it is there but can't connect. The AC card from Intel solved my wifi problems and it is fast and connection is always strong and stable but... the bluetooth mouse is a disgrace... and once it cant connect you have to delete all and began from scratch again... INCREDIBLE... I'm almost giving up everything and selling the notebook on EBAY but I stupidly acquire a 3 year warranty from Lenovo and dont want to lose 1,400.00 USD... So now, after installing a M SSD HD ( 250.00) and a new Intel AC card (60.00) which takes the total to 1710.00 I still cant use as it should... bluetooth mouse is a pain and the issue to have to power the computer twice to have it boot correctly.

AND NO WORDS FROM LENOVO !!!!! HOW I MISS IBM !!!!!  LENOVO WOULD CHANGE TO LENEVER !!!

I have this card

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B1 Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260

I have tried every bios since 1.11 and all get it "Unautorized wifi card" error.

If I boot laptop and "Hot Swap" the card it works perfectly but thats not a lasting solution. Any ideas?

AllenSmith81 it sounds like you're trying to use a generic wireless-AC card instead of one of the specific wireless cards needed for the Yoga 2 13. Read the thread, you need either part number 35020612 or 20200617. Other cards may fit the slot but they're incompatible with Lenovo's firmware which locks out all other variants because of unapproved emissions.

If you hot swap an unapproved card into the machine it may work at first but it will be locked out at the next reboot, as you described.  There is no way to get a generic card to work, that's the whole point of this thread. You may be able to get a 35020612 or 20200617 card from Medion Germany, or they pop up on Ebay once in a while. Until then, you might have to go back to using your original wireless-N card if you still have it.
