Yoga 2 13 harddrive not working, 1 month out of warranty, lenovo dont stock replacement- HELP!!

So the other day i boot my laptop and "NO BOOTABLE DEVISE FOUND" i contact lenovo and they say "its a month out of warranty, take it to a computer shop and test the hard drive." The hard drive isnt working so i call them again and they say "on the service shop you can buy a new one." they no longer stock the drive!! can not find a replacement anywhere not even on the WD site. Its a 5mm ultra slim with a very strange non standard SATA connection. Im really stuck with what to do as i dont want to give up on the laptop, after all its only 1 year and 1 month old.

    desperate for any help!!

Did you backup your system or did recovery?

I am sure you should be able to find a similare one on ebay.

Perhaps also you should consider a SSD hardrive on the M2 slot

Yes but as the hard drive has failed it's not accessible, there are no similar ones, the fact is having to fork out on a brand new hard drive or SSD after only having the laptop for a year is ridiculous, can't find a replacement online anywhere :/

Yes, that's the hard drive but I'm saving actually buying it until I hear back from Lenovo, is it only me who thinks it's ridiculous that it's given up after a year?

My hardrive broken only few month after I bought my 2 13. I guess I was  lucky that I have been able to use the waranty.

@webberrrrrr, I'm very sorry that you had such problem with our product. Unfortunately, sometimes it does happen with the new drives while still under warranty.
