Yoga 2 13" vibrates while shut off

2016-03-03, 13:35 PM

My yoga 2 13" vibrates while it is shut off if I touch the spine of the computer. I thought it only did this while it was on, but today I made sure to fully shut everything down and wait for it to turn off completely and it still vibrates when light pressure is applied anywhere near the hinges. Is there any way to stop this? Does this happen to everyone or is it something I should have looked at?

It is an issue for me because when I put it in my purse, it occasionally vibrates, driving me crazy.

Hello,

It's probably the Windows button on the screen that gets pressed ?

Try updating the Bios if it's not done already.

Well, it definitely seems to be the windows button. I updated the Bios, but it didn't help with the issue :(

Years later, still drives me nuts. I also can confirm that it happened after some update of Windows 10. Couldn't find any solution to this anywhere.

Also in my case it isn't only the Windows-button, it happens also if I put light pressure on the upper border of the *closed* lid.

Very strange... It has no function at all besides driving me crazy. Please, Lenovo, help us out!!!

Hi taffit!

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Please do a power drain by removing all connected devices (ac adapter, USB flash drive, etc.), shut it down and hold down the power button for 60 seconds. Turn it back on after a few minutes and observe.

Regards,

Hello @Mac_Lenovo   and thanks a lot for your reply and sorry for my late reply.

Draining the battery completely: It brought relief, but unfortunately only for ~half an hour. Then it started to vibrate again.

So unfortunately no solution to my problem.

Thank you, though for your answer. Finally someone knowing at least some steps that could be done to try to fix it.

Best

taffit
