Re: Yoga 2 Pro (20266 / 80AY) - Lenovo devices tested for Windows 10 version 1703 (update March, 201

On Windows 10 you can turn on a GPU column in Task Manager list, not sure you can in Windows 8.1 but might want to see what % is actually being used. Browsing can be intensive on CPU and GPU especially if having a video open with multiple tabs. Could just try to clean out the fan grills with some compressed air? Make sure to leave the compressed air can upright if you've never used it before.

Also the Windows 10 in-place upgrade doesn't require you to reinstall apps, unless you got something you know is incompatible.

Re:Yoga 2 Pro (20266 / 80AY) - Lenovo devices tested for Windows 10 version 1703 (update March, 2017)

I'm running Windows 10 May 2021 Update (21H1) in the latest 60 days with no issues and with all Lenovo original features.

At a high level, the really only important thing that you must always remember is that in order for a hardware device to work properly on a system, there must be a corresponding driver to accompany it. Think of the driver as the software that allows your Windows machine to communicate with the actual physical device. If you have some type of hardware but can’t find the appropriate driver/software for it, then you’ve basically just have in your hands a piece of hardware device. By itself, it may look pretty and sophisticated but without the software to allow the computer to interact with it, then the device is practically worthless. When upgrading operating systems, many users are afraid for the fact that their current devices might not work on the new operating system. It could be that their device is very old and the manufacturer simply refuses to support it anymore. By not creating a new device driver for the new operating system, the user is basically left behind with no choice but to not upgrade to the newer operating system.
But our Yoga 2 Pro still has a lot of fuel to go with latest Windows 10 version. Just after May Update (21H1) clean installed or upgraded follow all this step-by-step setup guide installing or reinstalling all drivers that will configure your Lenovo like a brand new reliable factory  2-in-1 Ultrabook.
