Yoga 2 Pro Dropping Frames When Not In Laptop Mode

2013-10-27, 20:54 PM

For some reason when I put the Yoga in any mode but laptop mode it won't play videos smoothly. It happens with youtube and other web players. As soon as I put it back into laptop mode the video plays fine again.

This may help. Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework ended being the issue on the original Yoga.

See this thread also: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Idea-Windows-based-Tablets-and/Windows-8-1-Yoga-11s-Low-performance-when-screen-flipped/td-p/1276915

Disabling DPTF in the BIOS fixed it for me (11s), but I sure would like to know if there are other issues with turning it off. Lenovo?
