Yoga 2 Pro: Energy Management for Windows 10

2016-02-04, 0:14 AM

Currently the only version of Lenovo Energy Management shown on the support page is listed as approved for Windows 8/8.1. When will an updated version approved for Windows 10 be available?

I found a partial answer to my original inquiry as follows: Download and install Lenovo Settings app from the Microsoft App Store. Some of the settings previously available in the Lenovo Energy Managemet software (e.g., conservation mode, express charging, always on USB) are now available using the Lenovo Settings app.

D000D, thanks for the heads up. I have a Yoga 13 and the setting app functions fine. After a fresh install of Windows 10 my battery mode was stuck in Conservation ModeI had to also download and install the System Interface Foundation.

I've been looking for a good, official answer to this but there's none to be had so far.

The problem w/ just installing the Lenovo Settings is that the Yellow color problem on the LCD only gets corrected through the Energy Management software.  Also, the Energy Management software has a few more power controls than the settings app does, at least for this laptop model (Yoga 2 Pro).

So, I currently have installed the Energy Management software for Windows 8.1 as well, which improves the yellow color as intended (but it's still not perfect).

But, what I would really hope is for Lenovo to provide some clear guidance as to what to do w/ Windows 10 on the Yoga 2 Pro, given that the Energy Management app is not listed as compatible with Windows 10.
